Damn, girls are mean. The first starts out with horrible bullying and some horrible stuff the antagonists are doing. Only all is forgiven considering the girls were just doing it because of love. And so that makes everything all correct. The teacher had no beloved, so he remains bad.
Simply really the start is pretty great. The main character straight up carries this serial with how awesome she is. A completely refreshing graphic symbol with how blunt and to the point she is. The master romantic interests were likewise pretty swell and a squeamish dear triangle was forming.
But then towards the middle the series actually starts to drag. In the Anna arc it introduced this completely dumb plot device to force the romantic interests apart. And introduced another completely pointless love interest with admittedly no chance to drag the story even further. Everything just became fashion to melodramatic and trite and the main character started losing what fabricated her keen to begin with. I ended up dropping information technology around here.
But reading the other comments it seems the author takes the whole forgiveness angle to the extreme.

It seems the main character even forgives her pedo father who raped her mother when she was 14. An deed so dramatic that it forced her mother to commit suicide. But no worries mate, it was done because of love! Then it's all good.

The main allure of this series is the girl, Maria. She is an enigmatic character with a lot of mystery surrounding her.
Honestly, though, I enjoyed how Maria slowly becomes more and more normal and integrates with society. It'due south realistic that she was no longer a "strange, exotic, mysterious" character since we came to understand her backstory, just I wish she developed beyond the reveal. I never got super attached to the character, equally the story was so plot-centric and melodramatic. If only more of Maria's developments beyond her trauma were shown.
I stopped reading manga for a while, I got a full time job, and just didn't accept the fourth dimension, but I started reading manga over again (btw, I didn't loose my chore), and I remembered that I had liked this ane, and so it was i of the first I came back to. I stopped reading it every bit some of the later chapters were translated, and took information technology off my reading shelf because I felt that it was romanticising rape.
I read up to affiliate 81 and then read chapter 91 summary equally I felt this manga was going downhill.
My rating is a 5. Outset quarter was interesting but the residue was very melodramatic. There is a lot of progressing and so regressing once again and again in characters' developments.

Like, ugh, an case is Shin. Okay, I become he have insecurities merely it'southward beingness replayed later he thought he overcame it. I think it was poorly executed. The story line became tedious.
I read another user's review about how it was decent until Anna's plot. Very truthful. After this, everything is shallow. I do, however, similar Shintaro as his grapheme is consistent.
What I detest: chapter 91 have Yuusuke's monologue as the conclusion. At this point, I just compassion him. He has e'er showed strength toward Maria, being there every time she needed help, and he is mentally potent to put back his shortcomings in order to back up her, unlike Shin (multiple times)... yet the concluding chapter portrayed him in such a pitiful way. He's rejected but notwithstanding idolizes her traits. =_=

This serial started off okay for me. I didn't dislike it, only I didn't feel that there was anything particularly crawly most information technology either. What I did terminate up loving almost the outset book was Maria. It'south interesting to run across such a blunt, honest character that's notwithstanding vulnerable a naïve in a lot of ways. Watching her form her circle with the other characters became more interesting with each volume. Though the plot wasn't especially new in terms of shojo, I found the themes to exist rather new and that made the story declension from okay to something more.
This series was pretty funny in a lot of ways, but things got a little as well melodramatic for me towards the end. I also felt that Maria dealt with some rather serious drama and it didn't quite play out realistically plenty for me. I was too annoyed past the fact that the mangaka felt every guy needed to fall for Maria.
I did enjoy the romance hither, simply I well-nigh gave the series a lower rating because I hoped for a meliorate ending. It wasn't bad. It was actually realistic given their ages, but with all the drama they endured, I want them to be together in a more concrete style after all of the drama. All in all, this series is a rather nice grapheme study. Despite the issues I had with it, it was well written and I loved the art.
To get-go off with this serial is actually practiced. The characters all accept this air of suspense that makes them interesting and unique, peculiarly Maria.
However as the manga progresses things become more than and more dramatic and as things are revealed I feel equally if it starts to become a little cliche.
The story behind Maria's birth is nifty and I loved the way that it linked upward to her hatred of physical contact but I feel as though that hatred of physical contact shouldn't have disappeared as fast.
I also experience every bit though the mode in which Maria simply forgave the man who raped her mother -regardless of love or other feelings- was too unrealistic.
I enjoy the mangas that i read to be a fiddling more than realistic and so what i've been reading now. When reading through the parts involving things like the suicide and self hatred i notice that to be even more unrealistic. Information technology would take had more impact had the artist made it more realistic because afterward an experience similar that, people shouting at you lot wouldn't help and the fashion it was handled was honestly non upwardly to par.
Also, in the starting time i felt that Meguro was the type of guy who was laid back merely as the story progressed he became more cliche and he lost the restraint that he should have had towards Maria and the way Maria began to deed towards him was way as well fast for my liking.
Overall this starts off equally a great read but as you continue things become less interesting and unrealistic making it slightly irritating to read. It as well loses a lot of the suspense that the characters were smashing for and the personalities of them, for kanda yuusuke and Erosu this is particularly true. Finally I feel as though Maria's unique personality diminishes a little too much during the graphic symbol development and she starts to look similar a normal everyday girl.
This was a bang-up manga and although information technology has its down i believe it's even so worth the read for those who are looking for some romance and drama.

I like the girl herself. She'due south spunky and sweet at the same time she has a dark complex to her. Which is pretty absurd. I too like how bold she is with her choices in life. It'southward the people around her that are pretty annoying. It makes school girls look similar scary criminals. And the guys are just all over the place. They want her simply don't want her. They make a motility but don't make a move. They take her but they can't deal with themselves. So annoying. And the repetitative ave Maria stuff is getting old too. Maguro injures his hand.. It seems like he won't be able to play adverse.. He has to movement for rehab.. And so he bring kawaii on a date and breaks up with her. They end upward at his house and she wants to give herself to him to make him run across her dearest. But he won't allow her.. She and so requests for him to play the piano for her.. It ends up sounding tragic and she sings.. He wants to go to her over again only she does what is needed and pushes him away.. He understands this and they hug the final good day?! They talk on the phone after he got lectured to evidence some proper feeling to her. He doesn't end upwardly saying what he was trying to cause she was making a unlike convo happen. The blonde that likes her helps her to try and see him at the drome so she tin can tell him her feelings. They didn't spot him only he left a msg singing his love to her. She is singing forth to the vocalisation mail and was recorded. The blonde put it on YouTube. Notwithstanding that same Maria song pretty much.one of the friends recorded and posted to the web. She is noticed and now they want to make a grouping video..

I was originally really intrigued by this story, the characters were highly-seasoned and I was interested to run into how the romance progressed. But it simply seemed to me that the Mangaka was trying to make things too dramatic and thus ended upward failing on the realism.
The kinds of emotions the characters were feeling and the problems they were experiencing were ofttimes utterly unbelievable, either that or they made no sense whatsoever. There was style too much angst, the bullying was completely unrealistic, the teacher'southward behaviour was ridiculous.
Everything just started to feel forced, forced and then each chapter would have lots of activeness to continue the reader'due south attention.
The kickoff few volumes are quite enjoyable and while the center volumes do stray from what seemed to be the series' premise (and ratchet upwards the melodrama) they werent terrible, just something of a divergence. Merely then
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
they decide to introduce the rapist of a 14 year one-time girl as a sympathetic grapheme, who receives no punishment for his crime, who is forgiven by everyone and who goes on about how he loved his victim. The forgiveness angle would take been bad enough if he had to piece of work for information technology, but the unabridged package and the way its presented simply makes information technology feel not merely vile but entirely, laughably really, false and artifical. Information technology shatters any intermission of atheism and really ruined the serial I retrieve.
